Our Lodge is working in the East of Moscow (Russia) under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of Russia.
Masonic Lodge Jupiter #536 was consecrated on the November 16, 1925 in Paris (France), under the jurisdiction of the Grande Loge de France. Lodge was named after ancient roman god — Jupiter, which name is standing for mind manifested in action. During occupation of Paris in 1940-1944 the Lodge has ceased its works, and started them again in March 1945. Lodge is working in Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Historically, the Lodge has carried out joint works with various russian Lodges in Paris: Lotos (1962), Astrea (1963) and others. In 1969 two Lodges: Jupiter and Astrea were merged, and continued to work under the name Jupiter. For over than 43 years of its existence, more than 180 freemasons were members of the Lodge.
Modern history of the Lodge have started in 1997, when the Lodge was consecrated under the name Jupiter and #7, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Russia in Zvenigorod (Moscow region). Later on, the Lodge was relocated to the East of Moscow. In year 2001 members of the Lodge initiated exit from the members of the GLR, and was one of the founding lodges of the Russian Grand Regular Lodge. In year 2007 Russian Grand Regular Lodge was disbanded, and in October 2008 Jupiter and its Brothers, were one of the co-founders of the United Grand Lodge of Russia.
Currently Lodge unites more than 20 Brothers.
